The Gift of the Solstice
/The sun's cycles remind us that what is lost returns.
A reaction to the season's shift from darkness to light is represented in my painting.
The season can feel barren while it is undergoing change. The child is a gift to me, to you, to nature. She isn't afraid of the dark and gives a gift in return. She is my daughter, myself, my heart. She is all of us, wandering in the dark, carrying our gifts to whoever will accept them.
Peace to you in this dark season.
